BaldorBITE is not your average food show. I reimagined and elevated this biannual event into an all-day celebration that drew 3,000 of our customers (the nation's top chefs) to meet 200 of the world's best food growers and makers. For 2024, I introduced a theme—"Play With Your Food"—and built the event around creating pure joy: free tattoo stations, a cheese grater "plinko," cornhole, an outdoor BBQ, a live 200lb. tuna cutting, a swag collaboration with humorist Chef Eli Sussman, and free-flowing drinks. The goal was simple: make our customers feel the love so they'd carry that brand loyalty back to their kitchens. We programmed the mainstage with inspiring brain food from luminaries like restaurateur Danny Meyer and chefs Kwame Onwuachi, Dan Barber, Fariyal Abdullahi, and Chintan Pandya. For the first time, I implemented metrics to measure success—my marketing team raised $1.4M from vendor sponsorships to fund the event, which earned 90%+ satisfaction ratings and generated an estimated $4M in incremental revenue.
